Ford plans to cut 10% of its global workforce to boost its profits and raise its stock price as first reported by The Wall Street Journal.  1,400 total salaried positions will be cut from Ford's North America and Asia Pacific operations by the end of September through voluntary packages, reports the Detroit News. The Detroit News also reporting Ford did not say how many jobs will be cut in the U.S.
