Russia Denounces U.S. Missile Strike in Syria

The U.S. military launched missiles at a Syrian government airfield early Friday morning in retaliation to a chemical attack that killed dozens of civilians earlier this week...and now the Kremlin is denouncing the attack.

The New York Times reports the Kremlin called the missile strike President Trump ordered a "significant blow" and NPR reports Russian President Vladimir Putin said it was, "an act of aggression against a sovereign state delivered in violation of international law under a far-fetched pretext."

The Washington Post reports President Trump said the strike was in the "vital national security interest" of the United States.
