Gas Attack Kills at least 58 in Syria

A chemical aerial attack killed at least 58 people, including children, in a rebel held area of Syria on Tuesday. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says at least 11 children were killed in the attack and the death toll is expected to rise. Victims suffocated and foamed at the mouth. Health workers housed down victims to try and remove the chemicals.

Reuters reports the attacks are believed to have been carried out by Syrian jets, which the Syrian government denies. Health officials told reporters they believed the gases contained sarin and chlorine.
