President Trump dropped the U.S. support of the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestine conflict on Wednesday. He met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
Trump said he was open to both solutions, one state or two state. "I'm looking at two states and one state, and I like the one both parties like." Trump said during a joint news conference with Netanyahu. "I'm very happy with the one both parties like," he said.
Reuters reports Trump agreed with Netanyahu that Palestinians should recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Trump said he wanted to pursue peace for the Israelis and Palestinians. He said the Israelis have to be more flexible and Palestinians have to get rid of what he called "hate."
