US Coalition Strikes Killed 801 Civilians in ISIS Fight Since 2014

U.S.-led Coalition strikes have unintentionally killed 801 civilians since the Operation Inherent Resolve coalition began in 2014. The coalition is fighting to free people in Syria and Iraq from ISIS control.

In their monthly civilian casualty report, Operation Inherent Resolve said between August 2014 and October 2017 it carried out nearly 28,200 strikes and 0.35% “resulted in a credible report of civilian casualties.”

The coalition said they’ve been able to return more than 96% of ISIS-held land back to residents and governments, freeing about 7.5 million Syrians and Iraqis.
