Facebook Live Beating: 4 Charged With Hate Crimes And Kidnapping

A Facebook live video of the beating, racial taunting and scalping of a special needs victim has gone viral....and now four people have been charged and arrested. CNN reports 18-year-olds Jordan Hill, Tesfaye Cooper and Brittany Covington and 24-year-old Tanishia Covington have been charged with hate crime, felony aggravated kidnapping, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

The video has since been deleted, but media outlets and online sources have copies of it. In the 30-minute disturbing video you see multiple assailants, officials have identified as black taunt the white victim, saying racially charged statements against Donald Trump and white people. They threaten and hit the man who is tied up in a corner with tape over his mouth. At one point, they scalp him with a knife.

Fox News reports the mentally disabled man met a man that he knew and some other people in a Chicago suburb. They drove him in a stolen car over to a home where they tied him up and tortured him and then one of the people in the group, a woman captured it live on Facebook and even turned the camera towards herself multiple times. Officers found the man wandering outside.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson calls the act sickening and he's amazed by how horribly the victim was treated.
