President-elect Donald Trump will nominate Wall Street lawyer Jay Clayton to head the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Trump said Clayton is a "highly talented expert on many aspects of financial and regulatory law."
If confirmed by the senate, in his new role, Clayton will help regulate some of the banks he once defended -- one of them being Goldman Sachs.
Many democrats are against Trump's choice. The New York Times reports some Democratic lawmakers point to the fact Clayton's career has been defending Wall Street...and now he'll be on the other side, regulating them.
