Richmond, Virginia Shooting Leaves 3 Injured, Shooter Dead

A shooting in Richmond, Virginia this afternoon at a Greyhound Bus station has left a trooper and two civilians injured. The shooter has been killed.

Reports say that the police were conducting a counter-drug training mission that involves officers approaching civilians and talking to them. When the state trooper walked up to one man in the bus station, he pulled out a gun and reportedly shot the officer at close range. Other officers then returned fire. The trooper who was shot was transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries.

Greyhound announced in a service advisory that the Richmond station will be closed until further notice and that they are actively working with the authorities.
