Arrest Made In Killing Of San Antonio Police Officer

One police officer is killed and three are injured in separate attacks Sunday. Two police officers in Missouri and one in Florida were injured. An officer in Texas was killed.

For now authorities say they don't believe the shootings are connected.

The man who is suspected of killing Detective Benjamin Marconi has been arrested. Marconi was slain while writing a traffic ticket in front of San Antonio police headquarters. Authorities released surveillance video on Facebook showing the shooter enter the building before the shooting. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said in a press conference he believed Marconi's police uniform was the target.

The Associated Press reports in St. Louis a police sergeant was shot twice in the face while sitting in his patrol vehicle. He is expected to survive. An officer in Sanibel, Florida was also shot as he sat in his patrol car. Another officer in Gladstone, Missouri was shot at and injured during a scuffle with a suspect.
